Ecological Tours

Our tours are designed to show the results of our ecotechnical work.

The Savannah Eco Tour takes you to interesting landscapes in a 4WD for an hour and a half. Your guide will tell you about the history of Birdwood Downs Station and the different methods of pasture regeneration for horses and cattle in the tropical savannah. You will enjoy the beauty of Birdwood Downs Station with its ancient boab trees and white gums.

The Homestead Tour &Tea takes half an hour in the cool hours of the morning or afternoon. The tour begins with coffee or tea in the restaurant, surrounded by our botanical garden. Your guide will give you an introduction of the history and will then show you our Wastewater Garden, vegetable gardens, banana orchard and several of the homestead buildings which were designed to cope with the hot weather without the aid of airconditioning.
